The Trane THT2436 is an installed limit switch, a safety component, This turns the circuit when the heating devices for instance furnaces or boilers are overheating. This automatic switch has a temperature of about 60 to 77 to C. It is in effect an extra safety feature that cuts off power when the temperature rises too high.
