The Sporlan Controls 109560 1/2-Ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) is a refrigeration system valve that is meant for use in refrigeration systems that use R-22 refrigerant. TXVs are essential parts of refrigeration and air conditioning system, which function as accurate flow control of the liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. This specific model has a 1/4” inlet and 1/2” outlet port as well as a 30-inch-long capillary tube. The TXV works in a way that it measures the temperature and pressure in the evaporator.
