Description
The Carrier HH18HA504 Auto Limit Switch is a safety device for Carrier air conditioners which are approximately 1.5 inches on each side and 0.8 inches in height. This switch also keeps checking the system temperature and this is probably within the range of 180°F and 220°F. If the temperature goes above the permissible level, which is 220°F, then the switch cuts off the power supply to the compressor. See it as a cooling system that is triggered when situations get too hot to handle. This means that once the temperature has gone down to a safe level about 180°F, the switch unlocks and allows the compressor to turn back.
