Description
The Siemens Industrial Controls 3RT1056-6AF36 is a heavy-duty contactor designed to reliably switch electrical currents in a variety of industrial applications, including HVAC systems. This 3-pole contactor is appropriate for controlling large motors and equipment since it can handle up to 185 amps at 120 volts. The contactor functions fundamentally as a switch, opening and closing internal contacts with the help of an electromagnet. The coil creates a magnetic field when it is powered, which draws the contactor in and connects the incoming and outgoing electrical lines. when the circuit is de-energized, the contactor opens and the magnetic field vanishes, ending the circuit. The 3RT1056-6AF36 can be used in HVAC systems to regulate a variety of devices, including fans, pumps, and compressors.
