The Rheem-Ruud 42-24194-01 two-stage high-pressure switch is one of the most essentialand evidential pieces of equipment in an HVAC system that measures and controls high-pressure gauge. There is also high-pressure switch with two stages and that refers to the fact that it operates on two different pressure levels for better performance. It monitors the pressure in the HVAC system all the time and initiates the correct phases depending on the detected pressure. When the pressure goes up to the set value the switch reacts by acting on the compressor in some way or activates a safety mechanism to prevent injury.
