Description
Trane COM6220 Compressor is a robust industrial strength compressor catering to moderate to high cooling loads in commercial and industrial applications using R-22 refrigerant. A strongly constructed, separate chamber (hermetic) made of cast iron. This is not a piston type of compressor as commonly used in other Trane products, but a scroll type of compressor. In the sealed housing, two scrolls are intermeshing and work like a pump and they compress the refrigerant gas at a moderate rate. This design translates to a 4.6-ton capacity (roughly 55,200 BTUH), which is suitable for handling cooling challenges in larger rooms.
