Description
The Carrier HT01BF232 is a specific transformer that is used for HVAC equipment, usually furnaces or gas fired air handlers. Although it is small, this transformer measures 4″ long, 2.5″ wide, and 2.5″ high, but it is powering key components. The carrier takes incoming line voltage, typically 200 or 230 VAC and reduces voltage down to 24 VAC. But having said this, this lower voltage is both safer and more appropriate for powering various control circuits within your Carrier unit, like ignition systems, thermostats or safety switches. The transformer provides the correct voltage to these control components so that they can work efficiently and communicate with one another.
