Description
The Rheem-Ruud 60-18556-86 Pilot Valve is an HVAC-specific single-stage gas valve. This safety mechanism ensures the right amount of natural gas flows to the pilot light, allowing the main burner to ignite properly and economically. At 1”, this valve can handle a whopping 240,000 BTU/hour – quite powerful indeed! The unit has ½” NPT input and ¾” NPT output fittings to ease connections into several heating systems. Usually, this pilot valve serves use in both residential and commercial heating systems such as those found in Rheem or Ruud brands.
