Description
The Lennox 12Y44 is high-capacity scroll compressor that made for large and commercial HVAC systems applications. A scroll compressor consists of two scrolls where one scrolls fits into another with a crescent shaped cut-out to compress the refrigerant. This design provides low noise and vibration, as well as high efficiency of the compressor. This model has a 4.5 tonnage, which means that the cooling rate is 51,500 BTU per hour, thus, it is ideal for large structures or industries. It requires a three-phase 208-230V electrical supply and has a normal 60 Hz frequency of operation. It has a diameter of 6.55 Inches which makes it a rather large unit.
