Description
The Trane SWT1261 is a 230-260°F automatic limit switch in Trane HVAC systems. It works as a fail-safe, automatically turning the system off when temperatures exceed a certain point. Doing this keeps overheating and possibly damaging equipment from occurring. An integrated sensor is used to switch track temperature. If the temperature rises above 260°F the system shuts off and the switch opens the circuit. The switch automatically resets when the temperature drops to around 230°F, allowing for some opening and closing variation, and then the system restarts.
