Description
The Trane COM8846 Scroll Compressor is a high-performing compressor that is suitable HVAC applications, with R-410A refrigerant. A strong, free-standing vessel (hermetic) made of cast iron, approximately 14″ in length. Contrary to other piston-type compressors, this Trane compressor employs a scroll type for optimum performance. In the sealed housing, a fixed and an orbiting scroll compress refrigerant gas to high pressure at a moderate speed of 1750 RPM. This 6.9-ton capacity compressor (83,000 BtuH) provides high cooling capacity for applications that require high cooling capacity. Refrigerant circulation is enhanced by the brazed stub tubes for a secure connection.
