Amana-Goodman 1370914S 3.25″ Insert Auto Limit Switch is a part intended to prevent an HVAC system from overheating. It acts like a temperature sensor with the ability to measure system temperature and shuts down the unit once system temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold (190-220°F). It does this to prevent damage to equipment and to provide safe operation. The use of this limit switch in such HVAC systems as furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps.
