The Carrier HC35KE231 is a PSC motor, which is a type of motor that is used in HVAC equipment all the time. PSC motors are considered to be reliable and have a relatively uncomplicated construction. They use a capacitor and a run winding to develop a rotating magnetic field that initiates and maintains the motor’s operation. The HC35KE231 is a single-phase machine with voltage of 208V – 230V and therefore suitable for domestic and small commercial power supply. It produces a power of 1/8 HP which is adequate for operating blowers and fans in most HVAC systems. The motor rotates at 1625 RPM in a counterclockwise direction.
