The Carrier HH19ZA156 is a limit switch which is a safety product utilized in HVAC products such as furnaces. It works like a temperature sensor switch. As the temperature rises, a limit switch opens and cuts the circuit, thus ending the heating process at perhaps 155°F. When the temperature drops below another set point, the switch turns on to begin the heating cycle again. It also ensures safe heating as it operates on automatic control and doesn’t fluctuate. Although it is small it is essential in regulating the temperature of your furnace to prevent overheating or overcooling as may be desired.
