Description
The Century Motors 945 features a fractional horsepower electric motor, which indicates that it generates an acceptable amount of power. It is frequently used in HVAC equipment, specifically furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps. The motor has three power levels: 1/8, 1/20, and 1/30 horsepower, having an initial speed of 1500 revolutions per minute. It needs 115 volts of power to operate. This motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy that rotates a shaft. This shaft then connects to different components of the HVAC system, such as blowers and fans, that circulate air. The variable horsepower allows for changes to airflow based on the necessary heating or cooling needs.
