Description
The Honeywell C6097A3137 1.5-7 Npt. Mt. Auto Rec. A motorized automatic pressure recovery valve is used in several HVAC systems, including variable air volume VAV, constant air volume CAV, and twin duct systems. It works by automatically modifying the ductwork’s air flow to maintain a constant pressure despite variations in the system’s airflow. This provides greater comfort control, reduces energy usage, and maximizes system efficiency. More specifically, the pressure in the system controls when the valve opens and closes. When the pressure falls below the set point, the valve opens, allowing additional air to enter the system. On the other hand, the valve closes to limit airflow if the pressure increases above the setpoint. By optimizing airflow throughout the system, this automatic regulation cuts down on energy lost on needless air movement.
