Description
The Honeywell V8944B1019 is a two-stage, 24-volt gas pressure regulating valve that is widely used in gas-fired HVAC equipment such as boilers, water heaters, and rooftop heaters. This ensures the equipment operates safely and effectively by combining the tasks of a pressure regulator and safety shutoff into one device. This is how it operates: A diaphragm in the valve opens and shuts in response to changes in gas pressure. The two set points are 0.05 inches of water column for low pressure and 3.5 inches of water column for high pressure. The valve opens to let gas flow to the burner when the gas pressure drops below the low-pressure setpoint.
