Description
The Lennox 83L86 is an automatic limit switch used in HVAC systems Its main function is to stop the equipment operation when temperature goes high or low depending on the settings which for this model are 200-250F. This helps to avoid overheating and subsequent damage to the furnace or air conditioner. When the temperature goes high the switch opens and breaks the circuit cutting off the power supply to the HVAC system. E time the temperature goes lower than this safe range the switch resets as closes back up on its own. These automatic limit switches are used in different HVAC equipment such as furnaces, ac and heat pump apparatuses.
