The Lennox 83L91 Auto Limit Switch is a safety device manufactured to be compatible with Lennox HVAC products. This small but essential component is responsible for the protection of your furnace or air handler from overheating and subsequent damage. This is also built with a sensor that checks the temperature inside your HVAC system all the time. It also has a safety range of temperature usually between 185°F and 215°F; if the temperature increases beyond this range, the switch cuts off the electrical circuit. This helps to avoid overheating of the system and thus you will not harm your furnace or air handler.
