Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-21711-11 Limit Switch is an essential part of the climate control systems that are used in the HVAC appliances and its main purpose is to control the temperature. This auto reset limit switch works at a temperature of 160°F – 180°F. It is a SPST switch with normally closed contacts, thereby making the circuit until the temperature gets to 180°F, the moment it gets there, it opens to cut off the circuit in order to avoid overheating. When the temperature returns to a lower value namely 160°F the relay is triggered again to connect the circuit. This limit switch is universal and is suitable with Rheem and Ruud furnaces, heat pump, and air conditioner equipment. The device is designed to work at 120/230 VAC, so it can be used in different homes and businesses.
