Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-23610-21 Limit Switch is the protective devices that are used in HVAC systems. It has temperature control function which helps in guarding equipment and ensuring original working capacity. This type is set or programmed to trip in case the temperature of the type reaches a predetermined level and then the type resets itself. The lock limit has a thermal component to it in an aspect of temperature. After reaching the temperature of 155 °F the contacts of this switch change from normally closed (NC) to open, thereby disconnecting the current. However, when the temperature is 175°F, the NO contact makes contact hence closing the circuit. This On/Off device controls the operational efficiency of the HVAC system in order to prevent over heating.
