Description
The Sporlan Controls 129642 is a 3-ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) designed for use in residential and commercial air conditioning systems with R-22 refrigerant. It is essential for preserving the best possible system efficiency and performance because it controls the refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil. A pressure sensor built into the TXV keeps track of the pressure inside the evaporator coil. The temperature differential between the refrigerant exiting the evaporator and its saturation temperature at the current pressure is known as the superheat, and it is maintained by the pre-set valve. The TXV automatically modifies the opening of its internal valve in response to the difference between the temperature it senses and the target temperature.
