The Sporlan Controls 151269 6-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part of refrigeration and air conditioning systems intended for use with R-22 refrigerant.This TXV regulates the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator by measuring the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the evaporator. It controls the amount of refrigerant flow hence avoids situations where the system is overfed or underfed could lead to low efficiency and high energy utilization respectively.The 6-Ton capacity makes it ideal for large commercial refrigeration systems and the 1/2” X 1/2” connection size and 30” capillary length allows for versatility in system design.
