The Trane MOT1226 is a 2 speed electric motor that has 1/6 horsepower and comes in handy when it comes to the HVAC equipment such as furnaces and air handlers. It works through actuating electrical energy with mechanical energy in order to operate some parts within the system including the blower fan. This motor has two settings which can be switched to depending on the required amount of air flow for heating or cooling. A higher speed is chosen to make sure that cool air gets circulated in your house adequately. On the other hand, during relatively moderate weather or during the heating seasons, the lower speed can be used for low noise and possibly higher efficiency.
