The Trane MOT1516 Explosion Proof Motor is a high energy motor designed for use in explosive areas. A motor that has been developed to reduce the chances of sparking in areas where there are flammable gases, dust or fumes. In contrast to other motors, the MOT1516 is equipped with an explosion-proof enclosure that will not be affected by internal sparks or explosions. This safety measure is attained by incorporating appropriate materials and designing the product in a special way. Internally, the motor delivers 1/6 HP and rotates at a steady speed of 1140 RPM. The clockwise rotation of 56 and the frame size are designed to meet specific applications.
