Description
The Trane SWT1729 is an automated limit switch that prevents Trane HVAC systems from overheating. It works in much the same way as a fail-safe switch. It has an integrated sensor to watch the temperature. The switch automatically opens up the circuit and shuts off the system to never harm, if the temperature exceeds the set limit of 210°F. When the temperature drops back down to about 180°F with a small tolerance for reset of +/- 6°F opening and +/- 10°F shutting, the switch automatically resets and the system will restart. It is a small switch that can be easily installed into a wide variety of HVAC equipment.
