Description
The Trane SWT2954 is a low-pressure switch suitable for use mainly in HVAC applications. It plays the role of safety as well as to constantly monitor the pressure of the system and shut the compressor off once it goes below a certain standard pressure. This helps to avoid putting the compressor to work where its pressure is low, which is dangerous for the product. The pressure reading is used in conjunction with a switch to open or close an electrical circuit. However, when the pressure drops to a second reference level that is normally around 85 psi, the switch opens and the compressor is supplied power once more.
