Description
The Trane THT2440 is a safety device called auto limit control, It shuts off heating appliances such as furnaces and boilers depending on the heat level. Regard it as an additional safety feature that shuts down power in case it reach a high temperature. This particular automated switch can handle up to 180° Fahrenheit temperature. As the temperature around the switch increases the device opens the circuit once the temperature goes above 180°F thus ensuring the furnace or boiler does not work. This is useful in preventing the same overheating and equipment damage that can lead to system failure or a fire. Stainless steel terminals provide strong and sure electrical connections for long-term applications.
