The Trane VAL8700 is a key accessory for maximum efficiency and safeguarding today’s complicated HVAC systems with R410A refrigerant. The Thermal Expansion Valve which is 5” long regulates the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil. It works as an automatic control system that responds to variations in temperature inside the coil through a thermal actuator. A loose coil provides less cooling or none at all, and a charge that is too high can harm the compressor. It has a symmetric port design for exact flow control and safe sweat connections 3/8” intake and 1/2” outlet. The brass seat ensures durability while it has a working pressure of 95/91 psi.
